In-house collaboration
The Chartered Engineers within CHA provide structural assistance to our in-house design team.
They also provide a direct design service to a variety of clients including property owners, building contractors and architects.
Our structural design services are available for domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural buildings.
Combined Architectural and Structural capability
We are a multi-disciplined practice offering the combined services of architectural design and structural engineering. This enables us to reduce the cost of design work and produce drawings in a speedy manner, taking into consideration advice on the structural implications provided by our in house Engineers.
We also have good working relationships with other external consultants including Quantity Surveyors, Mechanical/Electrical Engineers and Planning Consultants.
On larger and more complicated schemes, we can provide the role of lead consultant, and co-ordinate a design team, including other professional consultants, when their input and expertise is required.
Robust and effective designs
Our designs always concentrate on simplicity and ‘buildability’. This enables the works to proceed quickly and help to reduce the overall contract period.
All of our designs are carried out in accordance with British Standards, which provide recommendations for minimum requirements and take into account safety, quality, economy and fitness for intended purpose.
Our designs will also incorporate all information required to comply with Building Regulations.
CHA maintain a list of approved contractors who have the expertise to carry out structural building contracts. As an additional service we can organise and project manage the structural works.
